A Gala seller moved people to tears by his actions when he spotted a group of prisoners in a van stuck in traffic. The prisoners were being transported in a Nigeria Prison Force van heading to Ikoyi Prison but were stuck in traffic. As usual, the prisoners stretched out their hands through the tiny holes by the sides of the van and the Gala seller's next action surprised everyone. He took the Gala he was selling and began distributing to the prisoners for free. When the van began moving, he dropped his basket by the side of the road, grabbed a handful of Gala and ran after them to make sure everyone gets a share. President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday left for China accompanied by his wife, Aisha Buhari and one of his daughters. The presidency had on Thursday released a statement that the president would be attending the 7th Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation scheduled to hold from September 3 to 4 in Beijing. In the statement signed by Garba Shehu, the president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Buhari’s first engagement in Beijing would be an interactive session with the Nigerian Community in China at the Nigerian Embassy. Before the formal opening of the FOCAC Summit, he said the President in his capacity as current Chair of ECOWAS, would deliver remarks at the High-Level Dialogue between Chinese and African leaders, business representatives and African entrepreneurs. Two students of the Abia State University were killed in a fatal accident which occurred today in Imo State.    The accident involving a Young Shall Grow vehicle happened in Okigwe about few hours ago.   According to an eyewitness, who boarded the first bus, the two students are sister. Zimbabwean Pastor, cancels wedding over bridesmaid and groomsman's seductive dance at the church. The pastor held the wedding service of  Emmerson and Yvonne in Zimbabwe.  According to reports gathered,t he seductive dance incident occurred, when it was time for the bridal train to usher in the bride and groom with a dance.  The  bridesmaid who twerked while the groomsman ‘rocked’ her waist at the wedding ceremony  were stopped halfway through the dance by the angry pastor. EFCC, on Thursday, arraigned Adeshina Taoheed Aderemi, Adekoya Abosede and Ishola Abiodun Kazeem before Justice R. B. Akintola of the High Court of Oyo State, sitting in Ibadan, on 7-count charge bordering on forgery, uttering and obtaining money by false pretence. . . The syndicates journey to the dock followed a petition to the Commission from their victim alleging that, sometimes in 2018, he paid the sum of N695k to the defendants through the first defendant, Aderemi’s account for them to secure a Canadian Visa for him. . . According to the petitioner, the defendants conspired and issued him a “Canadian Visa” affixed to his International Passport. . . Investigation by the EFCC confirmed that neither of the defendants were travels agents and that the “Canadian Visa” issued to the complainant was confirmed to be fake. . . The German leader, who is concluding her tour of three West African countries, arrived Aso Rock at about 10.02a.m. President Buhari, who welcomed the German Chancellor at the fore court of the Presidential Villa, introduced some members of his cabinet and presidential aides to his visitor before going into closed door meeting to deliberate on issues of mutual interest to both Nigeria and Germany. PORT HARCOURT- Fire has destroyed property worth billions of naira in Rivers State after a tanker loaded with petroleum product ran into a flower garden.  The fire destroyed a church, Christ Living Miracle Church, a hotel, four shops and a flour garden along G.U-Ake road, Eliozu, Obio/Akpor Local government Area of the state.  According to what Vanguard gathered, that the tanker which was trying to maneuver a bend on the road had fallen into a flower garden along the road and gutted fire.  The General Overseer of the affected church, Bumi Grace, noted that the incident happened around 6a.m., adding that none of the victims was able to save any of their belonging.  Grace said: “When the tanker fell and fire started, the electricity transformer close caught fire, exploded and the fire spread the more. Vice President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo,  on Thursday declared that President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has “lifted millions of Nigerians out of poverty” in the last three years. According to Osinbajo, within the same period, the administration had also laid a solid foundation for a more resilient and competitive economy as well as providing the needed infrastructure and opened the space for private investment to accelerate growth and development through the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) initiative. The singer took to Twitter on Tuesday, August 28, to speak about the cost of getting an airplay for his recent songs. In a series of tweets, he claimed that some presenters are waiting for him to buy them cars before they can play any of his songs on radio, adding that he has been singing since he was seven years old and no one can pursue him from his own country.

Lagos State Police arrests , Mr. Osuntunbo Dare, 42 and Idowu Gbolahan, 29 , for defiling a 7-year-old girl in Lagos. It has been discovered that two married men continually defiled a 7-year-old girl in their compound in Lagos and the girl has confirmed this to their wives. The suspects, Mr. Osuntunbo Dare, 42 and Idowu Gbolahan, 29, who live at Sanusi Street in Shomolu, Lagos, both sexually abused their neighbour's daughter separately and were each not aware that the other was doing the same thing. The abuse which began in 2017 continued into 2018 until the girl's mother suspected, checked her private part and found out her daughter had been defiled. It was at this point that the girl opened up and pointed Dare and Gbolahan as the culprits.  Investigation revealed that Dare was the first to begin assaulting the girl in 2017. Then in 2018, Gbolahan joined to rape the girl on multiple occasions. Both men threatened the girl not to reveal their actions to anyone

A driver received the beating of his life, this morning, for abusing a female passenger who cautioned him against receiving calls while driving and speeding.  According to reports, the bus was heading to Owo, Ondo State, from Ado Ekiti. In response to the caution, the driver started insulting the woman's family and generations. However, the lady being a smart person waited till they got their destination before organising a youths to beat up the young driver mercilessly .

Liverpool Goalkeeper, Loris Karius, has left the club to join Turkish side Besiktas on a two-year loan deal, the early Premier League leaders confirmed on Saturday. Besiktas have completed the signing of Loris Karius on a two-year loan, Liverpool confirmed on Saturday.
