Nation : Adams Oshiomhole Elected As APC National Chairman



Former Governor of Edo State Adams Oshiomhole, was declared chairman of the ruling APC at the party's national convention at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

 According to the reports by Pulse, He was elected APC national chairman unopposed after all other candidates for the same position dropped their interests for the position.
Nine other candidates were also elected unopposed as excos of the ruling party.
Chief Clement Ebri, also a former Governor of Cross River, Oshiomhole's closest contender  announced his withdrawal from the APC chairmanship race on Thursday, June, 21, 2018.
Ebri said he took the decision to withdraw after consulting with friends, family and associates in the interest of the party.
His withdrawal paved way for the former Edo state Governor to sail through.

Why I left Nigeria – Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has vowed not to return to the Federal High Court in Abuja where he was standing trial before he left the country. The Federal Government had charged him with treason but Justice Binta Nyako granted him bail after 18 months in detention. Kanu had flouted all the terms of the bail before the military invaded his Abia residence on September 14, 2017. He fled afterwards and resurfaced in Jerusalem on Friday. In a broadcast via  Radio Biafra , Kanu boasted that the Nigerian court lacked the capacity to try him.
