Alex Iwobi Impresses Arsenal's Coach In The Match Against PSG


Nigerian born footballer, Alex Iwobi, impresses Arsenal's Coach, Unai Emery in his side's 5-1 victory  over PSG at the National Stadium in Singapore.

Emery said it was Iwobi's first pre-season game and he missed the start of preparations due to his commitments with the Super Eagles in Russia.

 The 22-Year-Old player , played only the first half, was lively on the left flank and was unfortunate not to score when PSG custodian, Gianluigi Buffon denied him with his legs. 

Asked if the heat was an issue, Emery told reporters : ‘’No. It was the first match for Mesut, Iwobi and Elneny. ‘’They haven’t really worked tactically with the team, this week we worked one day tactically. This morning we’re working on positioning, but they need to play.

‘’But I am very happy with how the players played, this was he first time for these three players.’’ Arsenal will face Chelsea in their next friendly on August 1 before wrapping up their pre-season schedule against Lazio next Saturday.

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has vowed not to return to the Federal High Court in Abuja where he was standing trial before he left the country. The Federal Government had charged him with treason but Justice Binta Nyako granted him bail after 18 months in detention. Kanu had flouted all the terms of the bail before the military invaded his Abia residence on September 14, 2017. He fled afterwards and resurfaced in Jerusalem on Friday. In a broadcast via  Radio Biafra , Kanu boasted that the Nigerian court lacked the capacity to try him.
