Real Madrid have already sacked one manager since Ronaldo’s exit, with Julen Lopetegui loosing his job to make way for Santiago Solari.
Real Madrid’s attacking players have failed to fill the void left by Ronaldo.
Los Blancos bought Vinicius from Flamengo earlier this year for £38million.
He recently scored his first Real Madrid goal against Real Valladolid in a 2-0 victory.
And Cafu has noted that he has the potential to replace Ronaldo.
“Vinicius will certainly do well in Real Madrid,” Cafu, a former Real Madrid left-back, told Express Sports.
“But it still cannot be considered a crack, and it certainly cannot be compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Cristiano is Cristiano, with all the history in Real Madrid that the Portuguese brings below. Ronaldo has won everything at the Bernabeu.
“Vinicius certainly has everything to follow in his footsteps – he may become the new Cristiano Ronaldo.
“But will have to sweat and work hard to make that happen.”
