The South-East Renewal Group (SERG) has reacted to the position of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on the 2019 general elections. The group said Kanu’s declaration that there will be no election in South eastern part of Nigeria, which he claimed to be ‘Biafra territory’, was a joke that shouldn’t be taken seriously. The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Former Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has cried out over an alleged plot by some influential persons within the party to pass vote of no confidence in him. Adams Oshiomhole also noted that those who lost out in the recent primary elections were frustrating his plans to reposition the ruling party. The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has vowed not to return to the Federal High Court in Abuja where he was standing trial before he left the country. The Federal Government had charged him with treason but Justice Binta Nyako granted him bail after 18 months in detention. Kanu had flouted all the terms of the bail before the military invaded his Abia residence on September 14, 2017. He fled afterwards and resurfaced in Jerusalem on Friday. In a broadcast via  Radio Biafra , Kanu boasted that the Nigerian court lacked the capacity to try him. An Ex-Chief Justice of Nigeria, Idris Legho Kutigi, is dead. Kutigi was 78 years old. News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted the Niger State Commissioner for Information, Danjuma Sallau, as saying that Kutigi died in a London Hospital.
